Expertise and Practice
Larisa has experience with representing private and public sector clients in a broad range of disputes, involving first instance and appellate proceedings in the Supreme Court of South Australia, the Federal Court of Australia, and arbitration under the ACICA Rules. She has acted for clients across the government, professional services, education, energy & resources and sports sectors in matters concerning construction projects, professional negligence, insolvency and governance issues.
Known for her thorough and diligent approach, Larisa analyses complex legal issues to provide commercial solutions for LK’s clients. She brings a high level of professionalism and dedication to her work.
Larisa commenced at LK in 2021. She has a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of International Studies from the University of Adelaide. She is admitted in the Supreme Court of South Australia, the Federal Court of Australia and the High Court of Australia.
Larisa is a committee member for the Women Lawyers Association of South Australia and ACICA45. Larisa is fluent in French, Serbian and Croatian, and speaks conversational German.
Project Highlights
new Royal Adelaide Hospital
Representing the South Australian State Government on various strategic and legal issues concerning defaults, delays and disruption arising out of the AU$2.5 billion public-private partnership for the design, construction and operation of the State’s major health facility. This involves acting for the State in the associated arbitral proceedings and proceedings in the Federal Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of South Australia.
Greyhound Racing South Australia (GRSA)
Conducted an independent internal review of the governance and operations of GRSA having regard to rights and obligations under a complex legislative framework, internal rules, common law and equity, and ‘social license’.
Confidential Professional Negligence Claim
Working with an offshore firm to defend another professional services firm in relation to allegations of professional negligence.
Investment Protection Structuring Advice
Advising Australian resource companies with overseas investments on restructuring for investment treaty protection involving interpretation of international legal instruments.
Governance, Policy and Risk Management Advice
Advising a tertiary institution including reviews of policies and procedures, guidance on disciplinary processes, and the institution’s contractual and common law rights in relation to its land.
Crauford v Thomas [2025] FCA 1278
Represented an applicant in Federal Court of Australia proceedings resulting in findings of sexual harassment by the respondent under the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth), and associated proceedings before the Australian Human Rights Commission.
Pacific Gate Logistics
Representing a landlord in defending an unfair preference claim brought by the liquidator in respect of payments made by a guarantor of the lease.
