Accessible Justice Project
Expanding access to civil justice
The Accessible Justice Project (AJP) was established by LK and the University of Adelaide in 2020 to assist individuals with civil disputes who are ineligible for public legal assistance yet unable to afford private legal representation. The AJP is a not-for-profit practice and registered charity offering services at significantly reduced rates across matters including consumer protection, debt recovery, banking issues, defamation, property, contested estates, breach of contract and losses arising from negligence or wrongdoing.
A practice built for fairness
The AJP is staffed by LK practitioners, with its operating costs underwritten by LK. This enables the team to focus entirely on delivering high-quality legal support to those who would otherwise go without. Our aim is to help ensure that legal rights and protections are genuinely accessible to all members of our community, and to reduce the inequities created by barriers to legal assistance.
