Alison Rahier

Expertise and Practice

Alison is experienced in commercial dispute resolution and the provision of insolvency-related advice, having assisted in complex commercial claims across Australia and the Cayman Islands in respect of contractual disputes, professional negligence and administrations. Alison has represented organisations across the professional services, retail and defence sectors. She brings diligence and a high degree of organisation and commerciality to all of her work.

Alison joined LK in July 2024. She has a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice (Honours) and a Bachelor of Psychological Science from Flinders University. She is admitted in the Supreme Court of South Australia and is also proficient in French.

Working with an offshore firm to defend another professional services firm in relation to allegations of professional negligence.

Spring Gully Foods Administration

Acting for the administrator of an iconic Australian food producer following its financial collapse and entry into administration. Advised on complex security and priority issues and assisted with the sale of the company’s IP assets and brands to a major Australian consumer goods group, ensuring continuity for the 79-year-old brand and its product lines.

Excelium v Cyberanalytics

Representing the head contractor to a Department of Defence contract in a dispute with a sub-contractor in Federal Court proceedings.

Pro Bono

Providing legal advice through The Accessible Justice Project on a range of matters including defective construction works, lease agreements, and misleading and deceptive conduct claims.
