Adelaide Clerkship Program

LK offers clerkships to third to final year law students in the Adelaide office who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence and passion for the law through their studies and extracurricular activities.
Our clerkship program is focused on developing lawyers for the future and appeals to students who are self-motivated, curious, resourceful and enjoy working as part of a team.

Clerks are exposed to client work immediately and work directly with senior lawyers. They are important members of our project teams and have the opportunity to work on cases through their different stages. This includes undertaking valuable legal and factual research, assisting in the preparation of client advice, preparing court documents, attending hearings and working with market-leading and emerging technology.

In addition, our clerks receive comprehensive training on legal, practical and technology skills through a structured program and on the job experience. They are encouraged to participate in all aspects of firm life, including social and community activities, and are supported by mentors during their time at the firm.

We are accepting applications for our 2026/2027 Adelaide clerkship program from 2 March to 22 April 2026. Candidates should provide the following information when applying for a clerkship position.

  • A covering letter addressing the skills and qualities we value and any other information you consider relevant
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Academic transcript
